Luxury hotel development hits market in Sydney’s south-west
A hotel set to be at the heart of a bustling new town centre in Sydney has hit the market.
The proposed 10-storey resort will rise over the next few years in the Liverpool region, alongside Edmondson Park train station, in Frasers Property’s Ed. Square Town Centre.
It is selling via an expressions of interest campaign through CBRE agents Rob Cross and Wayne Bunz, who are expecting strong inquiry from a mix of local and international buyers.
“The proposed hotel benefits from an enviable location, given the strength of the south-west corridor and the substantial infrastructure facilities underway or proposed for the region,” Cross says in a statement.
“There will be positive flow on effect from major projects, including the second international airport at Badgerys Creek, the multi-million-dollar upgrades to Campbelltown and Liverpool hospitals and the $2 billion south-west rail link extension.” he says.
With completion slated for late 2020, the planned Atura Edmondson Park Hotel will house 167 rooms.
It will give guests access to a private pool and outdoor area, a gym, conference rooms and a food and beverage outlet.
It has been designed to complement the surrounding parklands, playgrounds and new homes, as well as a proposed cinema precinct and shops. Apartments and townhouses are currently selling in Edmondson Park.
The hotel will be marketed in both Australia and overseas, as it is expected to draw huge interest.
Cross says it will give potential buyers looking at investing in hotels the chance to “to secure a foothold in a location where the hotel is a major focal point of an emerging urban hub.”
