Buy this industrial-style SA pub today, open it tomorrow
Fancy owning a pub that was once one of the most popular live music venues on South Australia’s south coast?
An old shed in Goolwa’s industrial estate that has been converted into a rustic-style pub is up for grabs.
The local watering hole at 4 Dowdodd Cres was renowned for its live music, but the tenants moved their business interstate about six months ago.
Selling agent and Elders Real Estate Goolwa principal Lucas Bradley says the business owners and property owner put a lot of time and effort into transforming it into the venue it is today.
“It was literally just a big shed, it used to be a boat building shed actually and previous to that it was a wreckers,” he says.
“The owner leased it to a couple and they spent a lot of money to apply for a liquor license and they fully decked it out with a huge rustic influence.
“It was very popular. They closed it down now but all the infrastructure is still there.”
The 30m x 14m shed is on a 1728sqm fully-fenced block and includes a timber bar with a plumbed sink, a stage with projector screen, an office, and male and female toilets.
Outside, there is a beer garden with barbecue area, side deck and plenty of carparking spaces.
Tables, chairs, wine barrels, rustic signage, fridges and other appliances are also included in the sale.
Bradley says it is move-in ready.
“All the infrastructure is there to apply for a liquor licence now,” he says.
The property is listed with a $595,000 price tag.
