Search for land for sale at Electrona or nearby Margate and there is a strong chance you will come up empty-handed.

But then there is this offering at 128 Slattery Rd, a 103ha farm across 17 titles.

Dale Stevenson, from Homelands Property, says the farm has been presented to the market for sale for the first time.

He says there was “nothing else like it” and there probably would not be again.

“Alongside the highly productive farming ground, 128 Slattery Rd boasts awe-inspiring coastal views stretching over the D’Entrecasteaux Channel, Bruny Island and across Storm Bay to the Tasman Peninsula,” Dale says.

The huge site.

Cute cottage.

He says there are existing plans to create more titles with incredible views and building options.

“This is an appealing opportunity for serious farming, or for those who see the potential for a lucrative investment and development,” Dale says.

“I think it is more likely that investors/developers would be interested rather than farmers, as much as I would love to see someone buy it with the sole intention of farming.

“I expect someone will buy it, do the extra subdividing, and then sell all of it or most of it separately.”

While the Slattery Rd property currently has 17 titles, varying in size from 1.2ha up to 12.8ha, plans have been lodged with council to create an additional six titles.

Picture perfect farmland.

Overflowing with potential.

Dale says small acreage pasture lots in the area only come along rarely — especially ones with a water view.

“I don’t know of any property in the area that is comparable to this one,” he says.

“The little cottage is well worth a mention. It is an absolute gem. (It) needs some renovating, but it is simply gorgeous and has an amazing outlook.

“It will really come up nicely once renovated.”
