The Adelaide Central Market is voted number 1 ‘Things To Do’ on TripAdvisor, the most visited attraction in the state, with expected over 10 million visitors a year. The Adelaide Central Market is one of the largest undercover fresh produce markets in the southern hemisphere, buzzing with life and colour all year round.

The Market offers a huge range of fresh food including fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, seafood, cheeses, bakery, smallgoods and health foods, along with some of Adelaide’s most popular cafes and eateries.

Currently under construction, the expansion of both the existing market and the addition of Level 1 will ensure that Market Square will be the home of a refined mixed use destination – a once-in-a-generation precinct with boutique residences, complementary retail and office, a premium hotel with shared amenity, childcare, elevated urban terrace and a grand atrium hall.

Level 1 retail will be anchored by a Coles Local supermarket, Liquorland and a curated mix of retail tenants including a wide variety of services, grab and go Food & Beverage, together with an amazing array of restaurants with balconies fronting both Gouger and Grote streets is expected to open late 2026.
