The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) for an exciting new leasing opportunity of the Post Office Café within Hartley Historic Site.

Hartley Historic Site is a village on the western edge of the Blue Mountains made up of a number of historic buildings with significant colonial history, offering interesting experiences for visitors.

The site is perfectly positioned to maximise on the increasing demand for domestic regional and cultural tourism. The site currently attracts around 5,000 visitors annually and is in close proximity to the Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Bathurst regions.

Experienced operators are invited to submit creative business proposals for the operation of the Post Office Café and provision of quality visitor services, with consideration of the environmental, cultural and heritage values of the site.

The successful respondent will have experience in food and beverage operations, skills in marketing and an ability to take responsibility for the ongoing conservation and maintenance of the premises in collaboration with NPWS.
