The infrastructure was formerly used by the State Government for the Adelaide 500 and Tasting Australia events and is currently being co-designed between the City of Whyalla and bespoke designers to fit in with the incremental transformation of the Whyalla foreshore.

Once established, the pod will provide approx. 41sq m of kitchen, 53sq m of interior dining and 47sq m outdoor dining space. Adjoining the pod is a playground, grassed reserves, Ada Ryan Gardens, along with several public carparks and walkways along the foreshore.
