About Tim Mayoh

Born and raised in Sydney and with significant experience working with assets from small motels to large-scale hotels, Tim knows the Harbour City’s accommodation market as only a local can.
Giving him the edge in this role as broker is Tim’s considerable knowledge of the hotel industry from the inside out. After completing a Bachelor of Business degree from Swinburne University, Tim pursued management roles in luxury hotels including a boutique hotel in central Vancouver.
His big break came when he earned the coveted role of senior consultant with LQA in Vancouver. LQA partners with the world’s leading hotels and resorts to raise the bar even higher through independent assessments that highlight room for improvement. Travelling the world, Tim evaluated hundreds of marquee brands such as Four Seasons, Marriot, IHG, Mandarin Oriental, Jumeirah, Dorchester, Langham, Kempinski, One & Only, Six Senses, Banyan Tree, Taj, Oberoi, Trident, Anantara, Rosewood, St. Regis, Bulgari, Belmond, Peninsula, Fairmont, Raffles, Swissotel, Rocco Forte, Sofitel, Pullman and MGallery.
Consulting with senior executive teams on operational best practices enhanced Tim’s expertise and gained him invaluable insight into the hotel trade.
“These experiences allowed me to network with an amazing array of hoteliers, both management and owners, from all over the world,” says Tim. “It gave me a keen appreciation of the demands and requirements of hotel owners, particularly at the high end of the market.”
After a successful decade in Vancouver, Tim and his family returned to Sydney where he took up a post as development director with Choice Hotels Asia-Pac, the regional arm of one of the world’s largest accommodation franchisors, before joining ResortBrokers in June 2022.
Tim is now leveraging his considerable career in hotel operations to help vendors maximise their assets, particularly when it comes to hotel management agreements.
“Whether it’s a small motel or a large CBD hotel, my goal is always to ensure owner’s expectations are exceeded,” he says.
