Matthew Wallace

Matthew is known for his ability to provide clear and succinct commercial advice and being a friendly but focused negotiator.

Matthew graduated in 1986 and has had 38 years delivering professional services to clients, and 26 years as a partner in the Hobart office of KPMG. At KPMG Matthew was the managing partner of the Hobart office for most of his career. Professionally, Matthew spent a significant part of his career as the partner in charge of Audit, Taxation, Accounting and Advisory services, delivering professional services to both public and private sector clients. In addition, Matthew has been involved in restructuring services and advising clients on business acquisitions and disposals. Some other engagements have involved extensive due diligence services for large listed and unlisted Australian Corporations.

Matthew has always had a keen interest in property (construction, development and investment) and has facilitated commercial property acquisitions through syndicated investment structures.

Matthew’s passion for property and business led him to decide to join our agency in July 2021. Together with a wealth of relevant experience, Matthew brings a high level of professional integrity and enthusiasm to our team.
