What do you love best about life in St George?

The lifestyle speaks for itself and it’s the simple pleasures I love most. A run along the water at Ramsgate, fishing with friends, and lunch with the boys and my wife at Cooked and co.

How has the local property market evolved over the years?

There’s an increasing number of up-sizers - families who know and love the area looking to move to larger homes locally. We’re also seeing an influx of downsizers from other parts of Sydney choosing to secure their future in St George. Specifically, many buyers are interested in homes with entertaining areas, open plan living and functional alfresco spaces.

In terms of apartments, there are new developments being created along the rail corridor which are encouraging investors from outside the area and adding to the rental supply.

Real estate is dynamic and the market changes day-to-day. What are some of the fundamentals that always ring true?

It’s simple, really. It’s about respect. Whether its someone’s first or tenth real estate transaction, you have to treat everyone with respect, give people time to be comfortable with their decision, and understand that there’s a lot at stake, not just financially but emotionally.

What’s the best part about your job?

Helping someone buy and sell a home is a privilege and when you do it well you can make great, long lasting relationships. I have a number of customers who I’ve helped buy and sell property multiple times over the years, which is really satisfying.

Can you tell us something not many people know about you?

I channelled my inner-Patrick Swayze on my wedding day in a completely embarrassing solo Dirty Dancing performance that I’m yet to live down!
