My name is Garry Hardy, born and educated in Hamilton Western Victoria. After moving to Mount Gambier in the South East of South Australia in the early seventies, I spent most of my earlier working life, the first 30 years in fact, in the” Motor Industry”. Working in sales and building a loyal client base using the” tried and true” method of putting my client`s needs first. Favourable” Word of Mouth” is still a winner today. By having a good reputation, doing the right thing, people return the respect and rewards follow. I used to say often to my clients ”the second most important purchase you ever make is your motor vehicle”. As times changed and Australian Manufacturing disappeared. Selling vehicles became more like picking your favourite bottle of sauce from ten brands. but it was still only sauce.

For me there came time for a change in career, to reconnect with clients on a more personal one to one basis. New challenges in a different sales environment “Real Estate”. At first I worked and got my sales accreditation for a major national franchise as a Commercial Sales and Property Manager for five years but missed that broader spectrum of clients, feeling somewhat pigeon holed by concentrating on one sector of the industry. So did I rewrite the record books in terms of sales numbers with my last Employer of ten years? No. What I did was treat my clientele with honesty, dignity and respect though and they are loyal to me for that reason. I also became a fully accredited Land Agent with a Diploma. I now say to my clients in this day and age “the most important purchase you will ever make is buying the special piece of Australian Real Estate”.
