David Canning

David has been a cornerstone of Page & Pearce from the very beginning. Following a distinguished 12-year career in the Defence Force, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant, David and his family decided to make Townsville their permanent home after numerous postings. Married to a local Townsville girl, they chose the city as the place to raise their family.

David discovered his passion for real estate sales, and after a decade of success at Page & Pearce, he was appointed Sales Manager in 2011 by Principal Todd Pearce. In this role, he leads and mentors the sales team daily, focusing on legislation, negotiation strategies, and — most importantly — delivering exceptional customer service, the cornerstone of Page & Pearce’s reputation in Townsville.

David’s dedication and leadership have been widely recognised, earning him the Sales Manager of the Year award at the Australasian Real Estate Awards in 2013, 2018, and 2019. His commitment ensures that every client enjoys a seamless, professional, and results-driven experience.

Outside of real estate, David loves gardening and cherishing time with his five grandchildren. Being a hands-on granddad fuels his passion, giving him the joy of sharing nature, fishing, and outdoor play — just as childhood should be.
