Originally Perth born, bred and educated it was a baptism of fire that saw Richard commence his real estate career in London in 1988. A time when negative equity was a catch cry and it was easier for some to leave the keys to their home on the bank counter, Tough times create resilience and determination. After several years as the top performing agent for Foxtons Estate Agents Richard returned to Perth in 1994 with a vision that ultimately materialised into Caporn Young.
