John Pye

John feels a strong sense of duty in representing vendors and investors, and he is equally committed to serving buyers and tenants. His core values are honesty and professionalism, and he strives for his team to offer service driven by genuine care, rather than self-interest.

As the Principal of John Pye Real Estate, John has since overseen the sale and management of thousands of properties on behalf of sellers and investors. In his 20s, he briefly worked in the building industry and earned a degree in Building from UNSW, which covered Architecture, Construction, Business, and Law. This background has allowed him to provide valuable advice to clients on property improvements, often saving sales that were impacted by poor building reports.

John has been immersed in sales for as long as he can remember. As a child, he started by selling silkworms at school and plums door to door. During his teenage years, he sold magazines and set appointments for a portrait photographer. While at university, he became the top Time/Life salesperson in Australia.

Following an extensive career in fundraising for charities, John transitioned to real estate in December 1987. In his first year, he listed 38 properties and sold 60, including both his own listings and others through multi-listing. It was then he realised he had found his true passion and never looked back.
