About Glenn Millar

ResortBrokers’ longest serving broker Glenn Millar is a Sunshine Coast institution in the management rights sector. Since joining ResortBrokers in 2005, Glenn has established himself as one of Australia’s premier management rights brokers, particularly in the premium end of the market.


With ResortBrokers, Glenn has sold more than 200 management rights businesses with a combined value exceeding $350,000,000, equating to a sale settling every 25 days on average. Very few brokers in Australia come close to this.


While Glenn predominately covers the Sunshine Coast, he has been involved in the sale of some of the largest management rights and freehold branded hotels throughout Australia. Some of his successes include the sale of the Soul Surfers Paradise management rights to Mantra Hotels for what was then a record price, the $12.5 million sale of a 64-unit freehold hotel, now Sebel West Perth, to a Singaporean investor, and the sale of the 128-unit Peppers Pier Resort, which became Oaks Hervey Bay Resort and Spa, to hospitality giant Minor International.


Based on the Sunshine Coast for the last 32 years, Glenn has sold many of the region’s landmark management rights, some two or three times over. His successes include some of the Sunshine Coast’s most iconic properties such as Maison Noosa, On the Beach, The Rise Noosa, Tingirana Noosa, Breeze Mooloolaba and Rumba Beach Resort at Caloundra. In the last financial year alone, Glenn has sold 26 Sunshine Coast management rights businesses with a combined value of $44 million.


A passionate believer in the management rights model, Glenn’s matchless knowledge of the sector is highly regarded, leading to his appointment to an advisory panel of the industry’s peak body, Australian Resident Accommodation Manager's Association (ARAMA).


“With more than 40 years’ experience in the hotel and resort sector, I live and breathe management rights,” says Glenn. “I focus on high-end, high-netting management rights businesses. This includes operations that have additional components such as restaurants, day spas and conference facilities. There are very few brokers who understand this market, certainly not to the degree needed in such a specialist field.”
