Kareena Ballard AM

Kareena Ballard AM has made a significant contribution to the real estate industry over the course of several decades. Following a 19-year nursing career, she established a successful career within the Western Australian real estate industry and remains Principal and Director of Jones Ballard Property Group to this day.

Kareena is a proven high achiever with excellent people skills who is passionate about her profession, whilst ensuring her clients are happy with their property decisions. On June 11th 2007 in the Queens Birthday Honours, she was appointed a Member in the general division of the Order of Australia “For service to workforce training and development in the construction and property services sector, to the real estate profession and to the community.”

Kareena served on the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia Council for over a decade and held the highest office of both REIWA and the Real Estate Institute of Australia, becoming the first female elected as President to both bodies. In 1995, she was the REIA Nominee to the Board of Property Services Training Australia, helping develop a training package endorsed by the Australian National Training Authority.

Kareena later served as Chair of the Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council for seven years and has held several WA ministerial appointments, including as member of the Government Strata Titles Task Force, the East Perth Redevelopment Authority, the Heritage Council of WA and the Department of Land Administration Customer Service Council, as well as the Legal Profession Complaints Committee – of which she is still a current member. In 2000, she was also the recipient of REIWA’s Kevin Sullivan Memorial Award, the most prestigious industry award in the state.

Kareena is also a prolific contributor to her local community as a Member of Melville Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Back in 1983, her real estate journey started when she joined Bill Crosse & Co. in Como. She was appointed as a Director, then in 1988 purchased the business together with Mike Quin – eventually launching Quin Ballard Real Estate, a boutique firm specialising in residential property management and sales, along with strata management.

In 2017, Kareena merged with Nik Jones Realty to offer clients a more highly-specialised marketing force as Jones Ballard Property Group where today – working alongside her son, Adrian – she still prides herself in providing a trusted, caring and successful relationship when assisting all of her clients with their property decisions.
