I am proud to be born and bred in Dubbo and spent a lot of my childhood in the Bob Berry Real Estate office whether it was filling receipts, vacuuming the floor, or helping at a clearing sale. It gave me a great work ethic that I followed through my life and career.

My plan for after school didn’t quite work out so I went to Business School in Sydney and commenced my formal real estate career at Richardson and Wrench in Randwick where I worked on reception, in property management and as a sales assistant. At the same time, I attended TAFE at night for three years and obtained by real estate licence in 1997.

The bright lights of London were calling and my love of travel commenced with this move and a different experience of working in investment banking which I continued to do on my return in Sydney.

In 2004, I brought my experience working in Sydney and overseas back to Dubbo and started my official employment in sales at Bob Berry Real Estate, I haven’t looked back. Whilst working in sales, I commenced my Bachelor of Business part-time through CSU which I completed some years later.

In 2015, my family had a tough year with some tragedies effecting my outlook on life. It got me thinking about the real estate transaction and how stressful the sale or purchase process is for families, especially if the circumstances of the sale are difficult. I decided to focus as an agent on the experience for the client and how we can assist them to not only get the sale result they are after but make the process seamless and stress free. It also means that I make sure we have a team in the office to focus on admin, sales assistants to work with valuers, inspectors, and photographers allowing the sales team to focus on the clients. We take regular breaks and continue with our professional development to make sure we are working to the best of our ability.

This change made a complete difference to my business approach however in turn I was able to be a better family member, be more involved in my community and provide a better client experience to my customers.

When I am not working, I am busy in my community and enjoy my role as vice president of South Dubbo Primary P&C, I am also the past president of the Orana Toy Library and continue to assist in providing an affordable resource for families to enjoy playing with their children. I enjoy meeting people through volunteering, and you can often find me in the canteen at rugby or school, swimming time keeping for club night at the Dubbo Aquatic Centre or on the cake stall at Dubbo Hockey Club.
