With 30 years as a real estate entrepreneur and a 20-year Port Douglas resident, her business results predominantly from referrals and repeat business. Barbara explains, “Port Douglas real estate buyers typically come from someplace else – either Australian capital cities, expats living overseas or New Zealand. Philanthropy is ingrained in Barbara’s nature given the organisations and charities that she actively supports from children’s causes to empowering disadvantaged adults to learn employable skills.

Barbara and her acclaimed golf course-designer husband, Michael Wolveridge who is currently penning his biography – along with their twin dachshunds, Dudley and Herbie call Port Douglas home after years of world travel when Melbourne-based. No stranger to the golf course, Barbara has won club champions from Mornington Peninsula to Port Douglas. About her love for Port Douglas, Barbara tells, “Our home and my business are Port Douglas and having friends come for a leisurely lunch or dinner is what it’s all about”. Give her a couple of hours after a full day’s work, Barbara is merrily in the kitchen cooking a gourmet meal for friends and new friends.
