JACOB CAINE

After completing his secondary studies at Melbourne’s Xavier College, Jacob undertook tertiary study at the Victorian College of the Arts. Upon completing his studies at the VCA, he commenced a professional operatic career, performing with Opera Australia, Melbourne Opera, The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Victorian Opera. After a decade of working as a principal tenor, Jacob retired from the stage and began working full time at Caine Real Estate, taking the helm as Chief Executive Officer in 2012.

Jacob is a fully licensed estate agent, the current President of the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, a former director of realestateview.com.au, a former Chairman of the Melbourne Division of the REIV, and a former member of the Young Agent’s Chapter of the REIV.

Jacob has a passion for learning and development. Since graduating from high school, he has amassed several educational achievements, including a bachelor’s degree with honours from Melbourne University, a Master’s of Business Administration from Monash University, and a Master’s in International Relations from Harvard University, graduating on the Dean’s List with a near-perfect 3.99 Grade Point Average.

Jacob has also earned a Graduate Certificate in International Security from Harvard (with a perfect 4.0 GPA) and The Public Leadership Credential from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

He has professional certificates from Harvard Business School, having completed the Authentic Leader, Negotiation Mastery, Management Essentials and Leadership Principles programmes, as well as a Certificate of Specialization in Leadership and Management.

Jacob is a fierce advocate for higher educational, operational and ethical standards for the real estate sector. Realising a shift in the perceptions of property professionals in Victoria is a driving aspiration and ambition.

Jacob is a keen Carlton supporter and loves getting to the gym or out for a run. He has a massive pile of great unread books by his bed which he’s committed to reading this year. He is married to Danielle and has two incredible and hilarious children- a daughter Ivy and a son Oscar.
