I started my Property Management career over 5 years ago and have been with First National Basso for the last 5 years. Our culture and work ethic is just so different from other Real Estate offices, it is hard to explain. Even though Paul Basso (the business owner) oversees the entire Property Management business, he gives us the flexibility to continually improve all our processes and systems so that we can continue to provide our owners with the very best in Customer Service.

Paul started his Real Estate career in Rye 30 years ago as a Property Manager (which lasted 10 years) until he decided to open First National Basso, so his background is 100% Property Management.

From the time we opened our doors in 2000, Property Management was his main focus and still is some 20 years later. Our customer focus and property management skills which are second to none have been proven by the number of Awards we have won including the Australian Business Achiever Awards and more recently our Canstar Blue Award.

Our Property Management Team of 5 looks after millions of dollars' worth of properties under management which have been entrusted to us by our 392 or so Landlords.

One of our strengths and main difference to other Real Estate agencies is the fact that we cap our Property Management Department at 400 properties only. Bigger is definitely not better when it comes to looking after properties. We have a service ratio of 80 properties per staff member compared to 162.5 properties per staff member of some of the other agencies in the local area.

How does someone look after 162.5 properties? By taking shortcuts, that’s how.

After 30 years in Property Management, Paul knows that you just can’t take shortcuts in Property Management, so he has gone about setting up the office and limiting the number of properties that we look after so we can be thorough and comprehensive in all aspects of Property Management.
