In 2001, Michael opened his own agency, Richardson and Wrench West Ryde, located at 994 Victoria Road, West Ryde. The agency was renamed Green Real Estate in 2011, reflecting Michael's vision for the agency's future growth.

In 2012, Green Real Estate made a strategic move by acquiring Bakers Kennedy Real Estate, one of the oldest and most respected agencies in the area. This acquisition expanded Green's network and strengthened its position in the market, while also adding experienced agents to its team. In 2022, Green Real Estate acquired Anthony Trees First National Eastwood, another prominent real estate agency in the area, further expanding its reach in the Northern District and adding another office location and experienced agents to its ranks.

Today, Green Real Estate operates from two locations in West Ryde and Eastwood, offering a comprehensive range of services to clients across the Northern District.
