Hugh has 47 years experience in the real estate industry. After starting out in real estate with Dalgety Australia, Hugh established The Property Shop in 1973 and has sold many thousands of properties since that time, including some properties three and four times over.
Hugh is born and bred in the Mudgee district which gives him an intricate knowledge of the region.
He is a former Board member of the Real Estate Institute of NSW and a recipient of innumerable community and industry awards.
AWARDS
- The Property Shop team are regular recipients of both industry and community awards recognising excellence in real estate agency practice or simply for being an inspirational contributor to the community. Recent agency recognition includes the Phillip Webb Shield for Best Practice, Australasian Real Estate Results Rural Agency of the Year for 3 out of last 5 years, Inducted into the Australasian Real Estate Results Hall of Fame, and winner of the Real Estate Institute of NSW John Greig Community Service of the Year award.
- In 2015, Hugh was awarded a Paul Harris Rotary International Award for services to the community and in 2016, he received the NSW Premier’s Award for Community Service. He is also a past recipient of the Mudgee Shire Australia Day Citizen of the Year award. His industry-related awards include the prestigious Real Estate Institute (REI) of NSW Centenary Award, and REI NSW Woodrow Weight Award.
