A local resident since 1978, Martin initially embarked on a Police and Military career in two state Police Forces and the Australian Army, but was eventually recruited into the private sector due to his training and management skills.

In 2003 Martin entered the real estate industry, and quickly moved from a sales role to a sales manager role, and then onto business ownership.
